DEBAIT.
Pick a side. Get the room on yours. Slap anyone who disagrees.
A live, voice-on debate party game for 4–22 friends. Two modes, two vote systems, a built-in DJ booth, a fact-checker that pauses the room — and, if you press L, fifteen seconds of frozen time to walk through walls and personally slap the loser.
Modes
Two modes, one rule: win the room.
Debate
Classic two-team head-to-head.
Eleven voters in a half-moon, two debaters at the mic, one timer and a topic. Each round flips: red argues, the room votes; blue argues, the room votes. Trivia beef in between shifts how much each vote weighs, up to 3× or down to nothing.
20v1
Twenty on one. May the fastest hand win.
A red flag drops. Twenty hopefuls race to grab the debate chair against the one. Whoever gets there first speaks. Raise a flag from the crowd and if half the room agrees, the sitter is shoved off and the race restarts. Live and chaotic, in your pocket.
More modes coming as DEBAIT. grows — including community-run topic packs and themed tournaments. Have a format you want to see? Tell us.
Voting
Two ways to vote. No middle of the road.
Open vote
Vote with your feet.
Seven zones, −3 to +3. Walk to where your conviction lands when the timer hits zero. Trivia answers earlier in the round multiply your vote's weight — up to 3×, down to nothing. The room's bias is visible in real time, in body language.
Closed vote
Draw your ballot.
Slide an envelope open, scratch YES / NO / NEUTRAL on the paper card with the on-screen pen, drop it in the box. At the end of the round the camera cuts to the ballot box and counts them one by one, like election night. Up to 1,500 strokes per ballot. Doodle if you want.
What's in the room
Tools to win — or end — an argument.
Real voice chat, on every round
Built into every lobby — push-to-talk, gated to whoever the round actually lets speak. No external Discord needed.
A DJ booth in the lobby
One player wears the [DJ] tag. Pre-loaded stings on number keys, or drop in any mp3/wav and stream it live to everyone. Walk-on music for every debater.
Fact-checker, on demand
Anyone can challenge a claim mid-argument. The whole game freezes — timer included — while a web-searched verdict pops up for the room. Cite or sit down.
The Slap
Pay one slapcoin, press L. For 15 seconds everyone but you is frozen. Walls don't matter. A white gloved hand sweeps across whoever you reach. Their face stays red for a full minute, in front of everyone.
The cast
Eight characters. Eight personalities. None of them yours.
Pick the avatar that suits the argument you're about to make. Unlocked in the in-game shop — cosmetic only. Your rhetoric still has to do the work.

Launch
November 2026 · Steam · Windows.
4–22 players in the same lobby. Voice and DJ music both ride free over Steam's relay, so your bandwidth bill stays zero. Mac and Linux are not on day one — Valve's relay has a known voice-routing bug on macOS that no game can work around. Steam Deck verified is the goal post-launch.
Voice in every lobby. Push to talk, gated to whoever the round lets speak.
